Chriss Johns

Chriss finds inspiration with an ongoing dialogue she has with herself, where art and philosophical thought meet. She contemplates the importance of her work, the sacrifice and the dedication and pure joy of it, juxtaposed with the knowledge that this work is senseless or trivial in the totality of life. This creates an inner struggle that is familiar and foreign. This conundrum is the genesis of her work. Chriss strives, or perhaps struggles is more accurate, to find that glimmer of truth-of who she is and transcribes those truths to her medium. One thing Chriss claims to know is true, her existence is explicitly tied to creating and the creator.
