Sandra Giunta

Sandra Giunta’s artistic practice is a dialogue with the natural world, translating an awe of nature into sculptural fiber works. Through the inherent tactility of felted wool, she echoes the intricate textures and interconnectedness of the environment. Her work shifts between realistic representation and abstract explorations of organic patterns and forms found in terrestrial and marine biomes.

Underlying this beauty is a reminder of nature’s profound fragility. Through fiber narratives, Sandra strives to spark discussion about our responsibility toward ecosystems threatened by climate change. Her process is defined by constant experimentation with materials; she blends wool through wet felting, adds hand and machine stitching, and manipulates fabric to emulate environmental structures. By incorporating natural wood, she grounds these soft elements, creating a tactile vocabulary that fosters wonder and environmental stewardship.

An award-winning artist, Sandra has exhibited in numerous galleries and art fairs, using her craft to bridge the gap between art and activism.
