Julia Graziano
Based in the town of Manlius, New York Julia Graziano has developed as a fiber quilt artist, Her passion and interest in this contemporary art form developed from a long interest in traditional quilting. Mastering the skills and techniques required to make traditional works propelled her to progress as skilled long arm quilter. the evolution from traditional works to contemporary art emerged as these skills and interests where honed.
The opportunity to study with many contemporary artists such as Nancy Crow, David Hornung, and Claire Benn provided a strong basis to create her own artistic vision. The excitement of exploring shape, design, color, and texture can be seen in her works.
Working from her home studio, Julia has established a body of work that has been shown in several juried exhibits across the U.S. and internationally, including Quilt national 2017, Circular Abstractions, Color Improvisations 3, and Quilts = Art = Quilts, and craftForms 2025. Her work has been honored with awards including first prize, jurors choice and best use of color.
